I love  reading, it is one of the simple joys that i have in life. I will reading a favorite book over watching a movie or tv anyday. I think my love for reading started at an early age due to my teachers in elementary. I was never force to read beyond my reading level hence at an early age i  had learned that reading is not only a source of learning but it can be a source of pleasure  as well. I learned that reading can take my places i have never been to and can take my mind off things when i need to. I wanna impart this to my students. I want my students to have fun while reading and learn as well. I try my best to make my students read materials at their reading level and help them understand by doing a pre teaching about my book for the week and after reading the book i have follow up activities that are simple and understandable that will enhance their understanding of the book. I encourage them to read on their free time and i try to let them share whatever they have read in class. All my students are young men with autism and reading this chapter motivated me even more to help them love reading by making it simple and enjoyable. According to the book  boys are more likely to  have trouble reading and drop out in school and this made me even wanna try to make reading more enjoyable to my students so they will find joy in reading just like i do. I believe that when you love doing something it will not feel like chore and i want my students to learn that reading is not a chore. I feel that by choosing books that are at their reading level and interesting to them will help them view reading as a pleasure.
